Prasannan Parthasarathi is a founder of the 25% Solution, which is building a citizen movement for cuts in the Pentagon budget. He also teaches South Asian and Global History at Boston College with a focus on economic development.[1]
Professor Parathasarathi joined the faculty in the fall of 1998.
He teaches courses on modern South Asia and the British Empire. He has recently completed a book on the economic and social history of eighteenth-century South India, and he is now engaged in a comparative study of economic development in eighteenth-century Eurasia.[2]
He lives in Newton, MA, with his wife, Juliet Schor, and two children.
