          Fernando Anguamea Valenzuela was a star lefthanded pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers Major League Baseball team during the 1980s, and one of the few players from Mexico to achieve baseball superstardom in recent years.

          Valenzuela was born in Navojoa, Mexico sometime between 1955 and 1960.

          His birthdate is officially listed as November 1, 1960, but most baseball scouts and media believe he was born up to five years earlier.
