          Street photographer Wing Young Huie on his life, his work, and his new McKnight Distinguished Artist Award

           Of all the Minnesotans chosen as McKnight Distinguished Artists since 1998, when the program began, Wing Young Huieis the first photographer.

          And he’s not who some people might think of when they consider photographers worthy of the state’s biggest arts prize since the Bush Artist Fellowships ended in 2010.
